It provides monetary and continuous mentorship support to its scholars. Recipient interns get to work on an Open Source Project for three months. The internship, offered me an in-depth exposure and gave me the chance to hone my skills further.

Recipient of the Learn IT, Girl! mentorship program for women, an offshoot initiative by the Google Anita Borg Scholars, which helps women from across the globe to excel in coding , while doing a project, wherein they are guided by highly skilled mentors, who guide and advise them throughout the project.

Projects

Depression Detector: Monitored 1.6 million tweets from the sentiment140 dataset and performed the task of sentiment analysis, using Natural Language Processing on the text of the tweet and representing the data using Doc2Vec and TFIDF Vectorizer. Trained models like Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, SVM, Gaussian Naive Bayes, Multinomial Naive Bayes, etc. The best model achieved an accuracy of 0.7958, precision of 0.7357 and recall of 0.7958.

Smart Travel : Selected for the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2019, to be held on 2nd-3rd March, under Goldman Sachs organisation, wherein we are building a web and android application for intra-city travel, devising relevant analytics to increase the frequency of buses/metros in real time, predicting the number of passengers on the next stop etc using Machine Learning.

HamSpam : Built an email classifier, which filters spam emails, using Natural Language processing of the email text for feature extraction along with analysing other features and training Machine Learning algorithms like Naive Bayes, SVM, Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, etc. The accuracy for the same is 0.9918, precision is 0.9615 and recall is 0.9538.

Offer a Book : Developing an Android App under Learn IT, Girl! Scholarship: This app would serve as an avenue for philanthropists/donors, who want to spread the light of education and kindle lives by gifting money for books that are needed by the underprivileged children and also pro- vides an opportunity to the senior students, who might like to gift their pre-owned books to the junior students from the poor section of the society, to help uplift their lives.

FreeMedBed : Developing an Android App and website, to display consolidated and updated information of vacant beds, reserved for poor patients, as ruled by SC, from hospitals across the city, with all the contact details of the hospitals.

WebCam Motion Detector : Made an python based WebCam motion detector, using image processing and computer vision, having face detection feature.

!(Distract) : Made an application which helps the user block some of the websites, which distract him/her, for some time of the day. This can help increase their concentration and output.

Web Developer at Taarangana’18 : Was an active member of the website team for Taarangana, The Cultural Fest of IGDTUW. Link Here

Developed Billing System for a Restaurant : Created a Billing System for a Restaurant using C++, as a part of my class 12th Project.

Developed a few versions of 2D games like Snakes, BattleShip Games and Tic-Tac-Toe in C++ and Python.
